Keiki Polynesian
Ages 5-17.  Mixed levels. No prior experience neccesary. Students will learn Hula's from Hawaii, Tahitian from Tahiti and Maori styles from New Zealand. Culture and history are also taught in fun ways  to give the Keiki an understanding of the Polynesian triangle and it's rich heritage and history.



Beginning Polynesian
Ages 18 -up.  A class for the newcomer haumana (student) both Wahine ( women) and Kane (men) to start learning dances and the culture of the Polynesians.  Hulas in this class will be Kahiko (ancient) and Auana (modern) . Tahitian and Maori dances will be also a part of the curriculum which focuses on and honors authentic Polynesian dance. Students have the option to perform with the Halau at some Luaus.



Halau - Int/Adv Polynesian
Ages 12-up.  Pre-professional Class.  This is a two hour class for the more serious haumana  focusing on storng technique. Many  routines will be taught to develope an extensive repetoire for peformances.  Many styles will be covered including Hula, Tahitian and Maori. Implements are also used in  this class.  Prior training and approval of Leilani is required for this class.

 

Ballroom Privates Available
For those with busy schedules or those that want a little extra specialized classes just for them.  This is a perfect option for soon to be newlyweds of for the parents who want to glide or swing around the floor on that special day.
